Easelry

Who paints here

Easelry exists because the interesting number on a creative-class subscription is almost never the one in large type.

What this site does

It reads billing panels. Every price on Easelry was taken out of the live page's own markup on a stated day, in a browser configured to look like it was sitting in New York, and the day of the reading is printed beside the number.

That method exists because it changes answers. A struck-through figure that turns out to be a different plan's rate, a per-month price that is not the annual charge divided by twelve, a countdown clock that is identical on every page of a site — none of those are visible to a scrape, and all three were on one of the pages we read.

What this site will not do

  • Print an outcome. No page here says how long it takes to learn to draw, how many subscribers finish anything, or what a certificate does for a career. We have not measured any of that and neither, publicly, has anyone else.
  • Score a subscription out of ten. A rating is a claim to have tested; we have read pages carefully and used none of these three for a year.
  • Bury the free options. A library card, Ctrl+Paint and OpenLearn are named on the money page itself, and none of them pays us a penny.
  • Run a coupon page. Discount codes are the thinnest thing an affiliate site can sell and they go stale in days.

Who writes it

Easelry is a small independent site. It is not connected to MasterClass, Skillshare or Domestika, none of them reviewed anything here before publication, and none of them can buy a placement on it.

If a figure here is wrong, it is wrong because a seller changed a page after we read it or because we made a mistake. Both are worth an email, and the address is on the contact page.

A standing caveat

Prices move. Every figure here carries the date it was read precisely so you can see how stale it might be, and the right move before spending money is always to open the seller's panel yourself and check the line under the button.
